About the Artist

I have been making flutes since 1993 and have worked with wood practically all my life. Flute making has brought me a life style filled with much peace, satisfaction and happiness. I believe this type of flute is not just another musical instrument, but rather it is a gift from the Creator, sent to help us humans regain our sense of balance and harmony with the rest of creation. I feel honored to have been chosen to be a flute maker and to help bring this wonderful gift to the people.

Although it is difficult to determine what percentage of Native blood I carry, I am a registered member of the Metis Nation of North America. Metis meaning "mixed blood". I am of French, Montagnais and Malecite blood. Montagnais on my father's side and Malecite on my mother's side. Therefore, I am happy to say that Raven Song Flutes are authentic Metis Nation of North America (Canada) flutes.
